Once you complete registration, simply start by pressing ‘Plan your journey’
Tell us where you leave from, and where you work or study.
Tell us when you start & finish work or study so we can match you with a Driver accordingly
This is what makes it all worth-while! You can choose your Driver based on price, trip cost, who they work for or where they study, or even based on their car type.
What’s more is that this trip cost will be fixed for the duration of your reservation with the Driver – it doesn’t matter if there is route deviation or traffic congestion.
This is a ‘Reservation Preview’, essentially showing you how your request will match with the Driver you have chosen. You may have opted for morning and evening trips Monday to Friday, but this particular Driver only matches for the morning trips; in this case you can still reserve it with them and potentially book with another Driver for the evenings. In either case, this screen shows you what the reservation will look like if you proceed with this Driver. Once you request to reserve a spot, you simply wait for a response from the Driver!
After receiving a notification that your requested Driver has accepted your Reservation, you’ll be on your way from the next scheduled journey according to the Reservation which has been confirmed, with all the usual expectations such as seeing your Driver approaching to seeing yourself in transit etc.
For your trips going to work/study, you’ll receive notifications up to 2 hours prior to start-time in order to let you know if the Driver is okay to pick you up, and also to ask you if you are okay to go on that journey. For your trips going from work/study to home, you will receive similar notifications up to 1 hour prior to finish time.
Although your schedule will be set, you can opt-out at any time of journeys you can't make, or cancel the entire reservation. You’ll be refunded for any journeys you don’t complete that week.
Not a problem! Simply go to your side menu, click on ‘Journeys’, select the relevant ‘Journey’, and then either press ‘Delete’ or ‘Cancel’. Your Reservation with that Driver will be cancelled and you’ll be refunded for any journeys which were left for that week that you had already paid for.
Once you complete the standard registration, if you had selected ‘Driver’, you can continue on through and complete your Driver registration via the pop-up modal – or you can go to the side-menu at any time and select ‘Driver Setup’ and complete all the required fields.
Tell us where you leave from, and where you work or study, the times you start and finish, how much you want to charge per km, and how many seats you want to allocate for passengers. Click on the (?) to learn more on each aspect.
These details enable us to put you on the platform to privately arrange a reservation with your potential passengers.
…And that’s not really for us, that’s for your potential passengers. This enables them to choose a co-worker/student or someone from a company/school they are comfortable with.
However, if you have heard about Wayyd through one of Strategic Partners who is your Employer or Educational Institute, and they provided you with a specific Organisation Code – use that code here instead of only the organisation’s name.
In addition to looking out for your registration plate number, Passengers find it helpful to know your car colour also and obviously other general details. You will also need to let us know if you are insured or not – either way, you’ll have to take responsibility as this is a peer-to-peer service.
We strive to make this a true peer-to-peer platform – but it assists us in knowing who is using the platform. Simply upload your Driver Licence and you’ll be one step closer to completing your Driver approval to start driving.
Without your banking details we can’t pay you… so we guess you’ll know what to do here.
After you’re all approved to use our platform to offer your driving services, you’ll start to receive Passenger requests if your route & schedule match theirs.
You’ll have the final say on if you want to take that Passenger on-board.
Prior to each journey you are scheduled to do, you’ll receive a notification asking you if you are still okay to drive on that particular journey. If you can’t, we’ll let your Passengers know.
If you can, we’ll let them know also, and then you’ll be prompted to start your journey are precisely the right time to ensure you can pick-up and drop-off your Passengers and be at work in time yourself.
In the ‘In Transit’ mode, you simply press the pin icon to start navigating towards that Passengers pick-up or drop-off location, and press the check-box once you have picked-up or dropped them off.
Not a problem! Simply go to your side menu, click on ‘Driver Setup’, and go to your ‘Route Details’. From there scroll down to your ‘Passenger List’ click on the Passenger you want to cancel, and press ‘Delete from schedule’.
Alternatively, you can go to the side menu, click on ‘Bids’, select the relevant bid, then press ‘View passenger journey’, and then ‘Cancel’.
Either way the Passenger will be removed from your schedule and they will be notified that you can’t service their journeys any longer.
Here put in the address you want your child to be picked up from (home), and the destination address (school address).
Simply fill-in your child’s school start time and finish time for each day (Monday to Friday) – you can select ‘Same for all days’ to make it easier if you have the same times every day.
When you hit ‘Find a Match’ our system will do two things. 1) create a job profile based on the information you have input, and 2) search to see if there are any existing Operator routes which match close to your request. If there are no matching Operator routes, our system will let you know and will send your job request to Operators who want to be notified of such jobs nonetheless. If there is a match, go to the next step.
Here you can select who you want as your driver, primarily based on price and rating. Of course you can also select based on their car type etc. Take note that the trip cost you see is based only on your travelling distance requirement, without factoring in other potential or existing passengers’ requirements, or any delays or tolls in transit. This trip cost is also fixed for you even if the Operator changes their per km cost later; it is fixed until your trips are cancelled by you or the Operator.
This is a ‘Reservation Preview’, essentially showing you how your request will match with the Operator you have chosen. You may have opted for morning and evening trips Monday to Friday, but this particular Operator only matches for the morning trips; in this case you can still reserve it with him and potentially book with another Operator for the evenings. In either case, this screen shows you what the reservation will look like if you proceed with the Operator. Once you request to reserve a spot, you simply wait for a response from the Operator!
After receiving a notification that your requested Operator has accepted your Reservation, you’ll be on your way from the next scheduled trip according to the Reservation which has been confirmed, with all the usual expectation such as seeing your Operator approaching to seeing yourself in transit etc.
For the trips taking your child to school, you will receive notifications up to 2 hours prior to school start-time in order to let you know if the Operator is okay to pick your child up, and also to ask you if your child is okay to go on that trip. For the trips going from school to home, you will receive similar notifications up to 1 hour prior to school finish time. Even if you confirm a trip at those notifications, but then want to cancel (e.g. you have other arrangements for your child’s pick-up etc.), you can still manually go to Account -> User -> Jobs -> School, find your relevant Job, and then press ‘Cancel’ to cancel the up-coming trip or the entire schedule.
In order to become a School Operator you must fill in and submit all the required information as stipulated in Account -> Operator -> Verification -> School, and you must also fill in all relevant information in Account -> Operator -> Invoicing & Banking. If you don’t fill in the Business Number and Company/Trading Name details, our system will generate Receipts on your behalf to your Passengers; with a Business Number etc., we will generate Invoices on your behalf.
As part of the verification screen above you will be required to fill in your child’s school schedule including starting and destination points; this information will form the basis of your Route and is used to match Passengers to you. You can only edit this information when you have no Reservations booked on your Route.
You will automatically receive notifications for passenger reservation requests when they have been matched with you, however you can also receive notifications for jobs by selecting the area you want to be notified from in the screen as shown above. You can access that screen from Account -> Operator -> Notification Settings.
When a Passenger requests a reservation as a result of being matched to you, or if they have requested a job from within the radius you had set in your ‘Notification Settings’ you will receive a notification like the one displayed above.
Now all you have to do is wait for the 2-hour (from home to school) and 1-hour (from school to home) notifications. If you answer ‘Yes’ to be being able to drive, then our system will let you know when to start your trip and you can be on the way to pick up your passengers. Once started, simply click on ‘Navigation’ to go to Google Maps where all the points for pick-up and drop-off for all your passengers who confirmed will be pre-set.
Every Saturday we reconcile all trips you have successfully completed for your passengers. The payment is initiated on Saturday and should hit your bank account within a couple of days. To view the Invoices/Receipts which we have generated and sent to your customers on your behalf can be found by going to Account -> Operator -> Invoicing & Banking, and then clicking on ‘View Generated Invoices’.
