• We have the same app for both Passengers and Drivers – making signing up easy for anyone.
  • You sign up simply by clicking on the 'Sign Up' button on the top right of the web-version (https://wayyd.com/signup), or by downloading the App on either iOS or Android and selecting 'Sign Up' from the front-screen.
  • After the usual sign up process you’ll be prompted to input your SMS verification code order to proceed
  • You can change your email, password, and/or phone number by going to https://wayyd.com/personal, or on the Apps go to the side menu and select ‘Personal’.
  • You will be prompted for your billing details upon making your first reservation, however you can input or change them at any time by going to https://wayyd.com/billing, or on the Apps go to the side menu and select ‘Billing’.
  • Wayyd is completely PCI Compliant and we work with Stripe (same platform companies like Facebook and Lyft utilise) who directly manage your Credit Card details.
  • We do not retain your Credit Card details on our servers, and in fact your Credit Card details never hit our servers as they go directly to Stripe securely.
  • You can specify your Gender and Birthday by going to your Profile and editing the relevant fields.
  • A ‘Journey’ is a search you conduct as a Passenger for your journey requirements. Our system creates a ‘Journey’ where your requested details are stored. We then try to match your request with a Driver’s ‘Route’. Once matched, we show you a Reservation Preview, where you’ll see what parts of your schedule line up with the Driver’s – e.g. perhaps only your morning journey requests match a particular Driver, so you’ll see in the Reservation Preview only those times selected. Once you are happy with your match, you can press ‘Reserve’; the Driver will be notified, and if they accept, then you’ll be booked in with them.
  • You can then see the resulting ‘Journey’ by going to the side menu and selecting ‘Journeys’ and going to the relevant search you are looking for. If that search is booked, it will show you that. You can then cancel your reservation with that Driver by going to that particular Journey screen and pressing ‘Cancel’.
  • We define a Passenger as someone who is requesting a trip.
  • Everyone who signs up and completes their SMS verification is by default able to function as a Passenger (even if they sign up as a Driver).
  • A Driver is someone who is offering their transiting services as a Driver; e.g. If you currently drive to work and want to offer seats in your car for people to ride in, you will be classed as a Driver; a Driver is deemed to be offering a driving service peer-to-peer in via a private arrangement in order to cost-share and not doing it for commercial purposes..
  • Our system is designed to give you frictionless operation as an Driver or a Passenger - you don't need two Apps.
  • You can become an Operator for either Corporate, School, Rideshare, or Logistics; to do so, you must meet the verification requirements for each respective category, which can be found in: Account -> Operator -> Verification
  • Because our verification criteria overlap Operator type, you will find that if you complete all the Corporate verification, you will automatically be eligible to be a Rideshare Operator or Logistics Operator, but not vice versa; however, some Operator types require additional information, e.g. for School you need a Child Safety Card verified in addition to other matters.
  • Due to our unique direct receipting system, a Passenger is deemed to transact directly with a Driver for the services offered.
  • As such, a Driver issues a Receipt to the Passenger after each journey, as they are deemed to be doing this for non-commercial purposes and as such there is no ‘tax’.
  • In order to become a Driver, Banking details must be completed – how else can we pay you?!
  • A ‘Route’ contains a Drivers regular route to and from work or study, their start and finish times, how much they charge per km, and the number of seats allocated for passengers.
  • A person won’t be approved to be a Driver without having a ‘Route’ as this is a peer-to-peer service and under certain jurisdictions in order for it not to be deems as a ‘public passenger service’ the Driver must already be going on a journey.
  • A bid is what a Driver will charge per journey to a Passenger.
  • If you are not Driver, then you won't have any bids.
  • Although this is a true peer-to-peer service for non-commercial purposes, you may consult with your insurance company to get clarity on how to reduce liability in the event your Passenger is injured during your service to them/
  • If required in your jurisdiction and by your insurance company, please take the time to update your insurance details with your insurer and any governing body. Details you are likely to have to update are things such as 'Purpose of Use' etc. Please consult with them to get the best advice to cover third-parties whilst conducting your services.
  • As our platform works worldwide, please consult with local companies in your region for their Rideshare insurance options.
