Wayyd’s mobile phone applications or websites, or any other online product or service, is collectively referred herein as ‘Services’.

We collect information about you when you use our Services and also when you communicate through other means such as email, mail, or telephone.

We comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation as of the 25 th of May 2018. You have the right to request an explanation of the information that Wayyd retains about you and how Wayyd uses that information. You also have the right to receive a copy of the said information. Information may be corrected or deleted insofar as amendment or deletion is allowed in your given jurisdiction. Wayyd has grounds for processing information in order that Wayyd can enable the provision of services and features you request, where the processing is necessary to protect critical interests of our users and/or of others, where the processing is a necessity for Wayyd’s legitimate interests and of other persons or parties, and where there is a legal obligation to be met. Wayyd collects information on your consent.

This Privacy Policy is applied world-wide and may be changed from time to time, and although it is your responsibility to check this page from time to time to ensure you are up-to-date with our policy, we will endeavour to communicate with you to inform you of any updates/changes. This policy describes the information we collect, how it is used and shared, and your choices regarding your information. Your continued use of our Services, and your communications with us, assumes your consent to this policy and any changes we may make.

PLATFORM PERMISSIONS

Before you first use the app, Android devices will notify you of the permissions that the app seeks, and your use of the app implies you give your consent; however, iOS platforms will alert you the first time the app wants permission to access certain types of data and will let you decide if you want to consent or not to that request.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM OTHER SOURCES

If we receive information from other sources, we may combine that with information we collect through our Services and communication. This information may be collected:

  • If you log in, create, or link to your Wayyd account via a payment provider or social media service (e.g. PayPal, Facebook etc.)
  • If you use or engage with another app or website which uses our API, or whose API we use When an Operator leaves a User rating after engaging with you for services on the Wayyd platform
  • From Financial service providers
  • From Insurance providers
  • From Publicly available sources
  • If your employer engages with our platform and has sent us any information about you
  • If you interact with our Services and communications in any other capacity

COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Wayyd uses cookies or similar technologies to analyse trends, administer its website and apps, track users’ movements around the website and apps, and gather information about our user base, such as location information based on IP addresses, and other preferences.

You have the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies, however Services may be restricted or non-functional if you disable cookies.

USE OF INFORMATION

We may use the information we collect about you in order to:

This information will be stored securely on Amazon servers. We will take the appropriate measures ensure protection of your personal information in accordance to this Privacy Policy.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

We may share your information as follows:

  • Upon your consent for us to share your information after we have notified you
  • In an aggregated and/or anonymised manner, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you
  • With Operators to enable them to provide the Services you request
  • With other Users that you may share a Service with
  • If you are an Operator (driver/courier), we may send information to Users (passengers/senders) with respect to their job request. We may share your location (precise or approximate), name, photo of your vehicle and of you, vehicle license number, vehicle make and model, your rating, and certain contact information. After you complete a job, we may send the User either an Invoice or Receipt generated from you including your name, the amount charged, contact information, photo, and a link to a map of the route you took, and any other transaction details which the User will find helpful for their record
  • As an Operator, we may provide your information to third parties as required under law or investigation when there is a complaint/dispute, including an accident, relating to you as an Operator; or when we need to enforce the terms of service; or as deemed necessary according to Wayyd’s sole discretion, for the safety, privileges, property, or security of Wayyd, our Services, or any third party, including Users and other Operators, according to regulations, laws, ordinances, licences, or any operating agreements; or to address or prevent any suspicious activity including fraud, security, legal, unethical, or even technical issues.
  • With other contacts you may want to share information with, such as Estimated Time of Arrival etc.
  • With any entity using our API or whose API we utilise to provide Services
  • With any of Wayyd’s subsidiaries or affiliated entities
  • With any service providers we require who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf
  • With third parties from whom you have requested a service through a partnership or promotion offering
  • With third parties with whom you have permitted us to share information with
  • With the general public when you have submitted content publicly
  • To your friends or the public, depending on the settings you have established, on social sharing platforms
  • To other service providers for the purpose of analytics and advertising; they may provide audience measurement and analytics services for us

LOCATION CONSENT

By using our Services, communicating with us, and interaction with our platform in any manner, you expressly consent to Wayyd’s use of location-based services and explicitly waive and release Wayyd from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, or damages arising from your use of Wayyd’s Services, or in any way relating to the use of the precise location and other location-based services.

YOUR ACCOUNT & COMMUNICATION

You can edit your Account information at any time, either on our website or in-app. If you wish to delete your account, please log a dispute by visiting www.wayyd.com/disputes and complete the form. If you wish to delete your Account, certain information will be retained which is required for our business operations and as permitted and required by law.

You can opt out of receiving promotional communication, however we may still communicate with you in relation to your Account, Services, or other pertinent communication.
